Judgment and Rejoicing

Judgment and Rejoicing

Read 林後 2 Corinthians 5:1 through 9:15

We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad (2 Corinthians 5:10).

When believers stand before the Lord and our works are judged, we will be rewarded according to our motives and the eternal value of our works. The Bible refers to this important event as the judgment seat of Christ. With no exceptions, all believers will give an account of their works and service for the Lord. Because our motives for serving Christ are of vital consequence, we must earnestly pray for wisdom and courage to judge our own hearts. What we do strictly for the glory of God and in obedience to Him will stand the test, but those things that we do for the attention of others will be judged as worthless.

The judgment seat of Christ will be a time of rejoicing for those who have been faithful in serving Christ. If we have served Him with a right motive, we will be able to glorify Him by giving our rewards back to Him in worship and in praise.

The joy of pleasing Jesus Christ and
bringing honor to His name is a reward in itself.
